UGH! its been one of those complicated 1hour long eliptical political conversations that went nowhere with the BF tonight.
There should be NO laws against prejudice. All books should be allowed to be published even if they say the most horrible things. One should be allowed to not want to have certain people be your neighbor or to rent to them.
Its so stunning in its traps that it leaves me mostly speechless- but I am acused of closing up like a clam. It has such horrible ramifications that I know he cannot seriously believe it all and thus I cannot and will not take it seriously- which infuriates him. which means I am suppose to take it seriously and if I myself dont believe it- then i am suppose to respect that he does.
This being the case- then I have to ask myself what is it that i find attractive in this mind or heart. It leaves me utterly confused.
