These images remind of Marcel Duchamp's fabulously bizarre and surreal "Etant Donne" (currently in Philadelphia) Which in turn reminds me of Courbet's "Origin of the World".
Here are some comparative works quoting:
Nude Descending Staircase (richter version)
Performance work (woman- as Jesus - being "quartered" by four bicycles) inspired by Etant Donne
Warhols Electric Chair 1965 silkscreen painting.
Warhol's Marylin Monroes
taken from the original Gene Korman 1953 PR photo.(Warhol and Duchamp seem to have created artworks who seem to beg the idea of reply/response or copying. Deborah Kass and Mike Bidlo seem to top the list of copy-artists. I prefer when there is some subversive wit involved.
Car crash (Arman?)
Young Man by the Sea by Hyppolite
Le déjeuner sur l'herbe by Manet
The Last Supper by diVinci
Origin of the EU by Tanya
Human Furniture by Allen Jones
Twin Pamela Anderson by Marc Quinn
