ITS MONDAY and my plate is already full.
I spent parts of last week reading about this evil man in Austria who locked up his daughter for the past 24 years and screwed her again anad aagin which resilted in 7babies (with one dieing) and 3 of them never having seen "sunlight"-all the while pretending (as one may see in the foto) to be a nice ordinary husband with a wife who never pryed deeply to find her daughter- nor understanding that her grandchildren are sired "directly" by their grandfather.
To say that all of this is "distasteful" is a distasteful understatement in itself.
I am at the moment sensing that evil buzzes around us like pesky mosquitos. As common as the air we breathe. I am bracing myself to contend with the burocrats to justify my very existence as an artist and a human being desiring his own sense of personal dignity. I am broke , but not hopeless. I am stressed and freaked but not demented.
At the moment my place is a mess and in part reflects my mind. Jo wants to go away and do fun pretty things- which is indeed charming. I on the other hand want to be productive and forge a path that is wide and strong for a future. I want to erase my current state of of functional illeteracy and reveal an ability to eloquently comunicate in this interesting, yet obtuse, language.
I just spoke to N. who was in Luebbeck resarching "Wappen" (=heraldic) histories of this former Hanse-Staat. (indeed interesting as I too had found this constellation of rules of interest when I started my Munich Hustler project)
He has offered to assist me in some of the paperwork i will need to feed the burocracies- an offer I am not able to reject.
Indeed there may be an opportunity to make real my interests to create a Wunderkammer/ Wunderkabinet (Cabinet of curiosities) project that I have been slowly envisioning.
My current difficulties is that I may indeed be able to survive on a no-frill budget , but it leaves no room for the neccessities of art-making (materials, books/magazines, references, experimenting etc)
