SWOOSH

Its Sunday night and I wish I had started earlier.
The news of the week has been Hollywood style film shooting all week long at the Kreuzberg Eisenbahnstraßemarkthalle. Its another sign of gentrification on its way in. It was perhaps 11pm when i took this foto after returning from a n opening at Laura Mars gallery. My building served as a back drop for the (hetero) romantic comedy they seem to be shooting.
I had the same experience when i lived on Greene street in Soho NYC. In Paris this did not happen- though the tour-de-france did run by my front door at rue de l'Hôtel de Ville at the Pont Marie. I saw it once. it took what seemed like mere "seconds" for the race to swoosh by our faces.
The News of the day is that the republicans of Bavaria (the CSU) after 42 years in perpetual power have lost their majority. Power corrupts, and it goes without question that they have in some way after all these years transgressed the lines of goodness. I am not certain how this will effect Berlin. One swift moment and swooosh out of power...hummm.
It has been a beautiful weekend- though I have experienced very little of it. I have mostly spent my time doing laundry and unsuccessfully tried to "pick it-up pick it up-pick it up"
Just saw some delightful images on SteveCruz's website stevecruzxxx. blogspot. com. I have never seen him in a video (other than his own sweet youtube selections) Cute hairy short guy with a nice silly fun attitude.
