MADEMOISELLE Françoise Hardy auf Deutsch!
Recently I attended a friends opening- I was happy to see and be part of his clear success into a rather high echellante of the current art world. But then i went home and got depressed, very depressed- lost and bewildered. I was a bit stunned by the deep place it took me. The questions i was compelled to ask in what i know to be a sink or swim situation at this crossroad which i seem to be crossing...for a decade now.
Today i went to see another friend's exhibition in Mitte - (video work)- an astounding amount of work! 3 screens in perfect sync rifting on Thomas Mann's Death In Venice- with the artist playing each role. I saw the artist briefly today and conveyed my sincere joy in his new work. He replied that he is always "happiest when working".
in retrospect (when not stressed for time or money...I can concur the same sentiment as well. I too am very happy when working.
